Self defense is a basic right for individuals, societies and nations. I’ve yet to hear the pundunts who criticize Israel’s action claim that their incursion into Gaza is illegal - It is perfectly legal as a retaliation under international law. If their complain is that Israel lacks the moral right to enter Gaza, these same people should be decrying Hamas for lacking the moral right to launch missiles into Israel. For Hamas to announce their beliefs include the notion that Israel doesn’t have a right to exist should alarm every civilized person in the world. Demonstratedly, thinking like this ensures that eventually it will be you who doesn’t have a right to exist.
