Middle East Conflict

Delivering news from the Middle East conflict

A letter to the editor

Posted by admin On January - 17 - 2009

The anti-Israel outcry is that Israel’s attempt to defend itself against Hamas is too harsh. There is no debate about how Israel can defend itself in a less harsh way, or about how the world can intervene so that the Israelis won’t have to protect themselves harshly.

A morality question

Posted by admin On January - 13 - 2009

solidarity

A “peace activist” is a jihadist-terrorist. And that’s according to the Western media. He (or she) is known as a holy person, a potential shaheed/shaheeda or “martyr” in the Arabic and Muslim press.

This is the Middle East; we don’t do solutions. Hamas is not going to disappear, nor will it be moderate. Israel, for good reasons, has no interest in occupying the Gaza Strip. Fatah is incapable of retaking control there.

Phyliss Chesler writes about the morality in the Gaza war.

Manipulating photos?

Posted by Middle East Conflict On January - 12 - 2009

The blood on the boy’s head looks as if it was smirked on him and not thick enough to come out from the boy’s wound. There is a line of blood coming from the boy’s head that really looks like bleeding, but why the line is going in a round way and not vertically? Also, the father’s fingers don’t show any blood on them. If your kid had been wounded wouldn’t you try to stop the bleeding?
